Oriental Peninsula mine unit suspended by MGB

2016072864db8In a disclosure to the stock exchange, Oriental Peninsula attached a Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB) order announcing “the suspension of the mining operations under Mineral Production Sharing Agreement [MPSA] No. 229-2007-IVB granted to Citinickel Mines and Development Corp. US donates boats to Philippine police

The Philippine National Police – Maritime Group (PNP-MG) took receipt of four new aluminium-hull patrol boats on the western island of Palawan on 8 July. 

The four Dauntless 30-class vessels – built by Willard Marine based in California under a contract announced on 3 September 2015 – were donated to the Philippines by the US. Collectively they are worth more than $2.3 million. Continue reading

Okada’s Manila investment to reach $4B, eyes Davao and Palawan resorts

Universal Entertainment Corporation of Japanese billionaire Kazuo Okada, through Tiger Resort Leisure and Entertainment Inc., is expecting its investment in the PAGCOR Entertainment to exceed $4 billion even as it scouts the Philippines for other resort projects.

In an interview during the media launch of Okada Manila integrated resort, TRLEI chief operating officer Takahiro Usui said investments could rise to $4 billion once all four phases of the project is completed. Continue reading
