Ready to get your hands dirty while having a blast and seeing one of the most beautiful places on Earth!? Get ready to volunteer on a humanitarian project in Palawan, Philippines!
Volunteer Trips (1 Week to 3 Months)
Arrive in El Nido, Palawan, Philippines
Meet your Filipino host family or check into your beachside bungalow. Relax and explore El Nido town. Welcome lunch and community introductions at beachside restaurant.
Time to get dirty!
Get ready for intense volunteering in the community. Projects will reflect the current needs of local communities. Since 23% of the population in Palawan lives in extreme poverty, we’re going to work with these families to empower them to bring themselves out of poverty.
Previous/potential projects include building a school, building homes, building co-operative restaurant, teaching about renewable energy – building solar hot water heaters, teaching ways to combat malnutrition – sustainable agriculture, healthy meal preparation, training in vocational skills, teaching oral hygiene, running summer camps, etc.
If you have a talent/skill/knowledge (e.g. artistic/musical abilities, construction, health, languages, gardening skills, etc.) that you’d like to share, we welcome your ideas and together we can explore ways of incorporating it into your volunteer program.
You will have plenty of time to relax and explore the surrounding area while volunteering. Bring some extra spending money if you’d like to rent a bicycle, a motorcycle, or a kayak, explore nearby islands, trek or mountain climb with a local guide, etc.
