MANILA – Starting December 19, AirAsia passengers bound for Palawan, El Nido, and Sabang from Puerto Princesa International Airport can buy tickets for island transfer service on board the airline’s 4x daily flights between Manila and Puerto Princesa, it was learned.
AirAsia and Lexxus shuttle service have partnered to provide exclusive land transfers for AirAsia passengers arriving at Puerto Princesa International Airport directly to their hotel without the hassles of long queues and irregular public transits, AirAsia said in a news release.
Island transfer service is available on board all AirAsia flights between Manila and Puerto Princesa for P700 one way per person for El Nido and P300 for Sabang. Upon arrival at the airport, an air-conditioned van will bring passengers to their preferred destination and drop off points in Sabang Wharf and El Nido town proper. Additional charges, however, shall apply for transport service located outside these stations.
“AirAsia is always on the lookout for opportunities to connect different destinations and make Philippines a dream destination for travellers. This partnership with Lexxus opens Palawan to more and more tourists via our 4x daily Manila-Puerto Princesa flights. Palawan is such a beautiful place waiting to be discovered and experienced,” said Joy Caneba, chief executive officer of AirAsia Philippines.
In February 2014, AirAsia launched an island transfer service for Boracay-bound passengers from Kalibo with land and ferry service included for only P550, all-in, per person. Island transfer tickets are initially sold on board AirAsia flights and will soon be made available for online purchasing via www.airasia.com.
To celebrate this new service, AirAsia Philippines offers promo fares for Manila-Palawan from as low as P88 base fare only and are now available for booking via www.airasia.com starting today with travel period between January 7 to August 31, 2015.
